Jackrabbit Run Golf Course, formerly known as Grand Island Municipal Golf Course is located at 2800 North Shady Bend
Road. The Frank Hummel designed course opened in 1977. It was selected by Golf Digest as a 3-1/2 Star Award Winner
of Places to Play for 2001-2002. The Omaha World Herald selected Grand Island's Municipal Golf Course as one of
the top 5 Midlands Public Golf Courses. This 18 hole Championship Course is one that any golfer will enjoy. It offers
a practice facility, rental golf carts, snack bar, beverage cart, and a golf shop with a complete line of merchandise.
A P.G.A. Professional is available for lessons by appointment. Tournaments and Handicapping services are offered through
the following associations: Mens, Ladies, Seniors, and a Junior program. The course is open year round, weather permitting.
Tee times are available up to one week in advance.
Hours
Weekdays we are open from
7:00 a.m. to about ½ hour after sundown.
Weekends we are open from sunrise to about ½
hour after sundown. For your convenience it is
always best to call for a tee time.
