Men's Association - GIMGA

GIMGA stands for the Grand Island Men’s Golf Association. The dues are $40.00 which includes your GHIN handicap and membership into the Nebraska Golf Association. The GIMGA also offers 9-hole leagues on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, and an 18-hole league on Thursday afternoons. All the leagues are played as a two man team format. Registration forms are available at the golf course with an April 1st deadline. The Association also offers 6 tournaments to play in throughout the year. These six tournaments are all a part of the Home Federal Bank Championship Series. In each tournament that you play in, you receive participation points and also 10 points for every dollar that you cash for. The more tournaments that you play in throughout the year, the more points you accumulate for the Championship Series. Approximately 50 places are paid at the end of the year, with the winner usually receiving close to $400. The GIMGA is open to anybody. You don’t have to be a regular player at Jackrabbit Run, and you don’t have to be a resident of Grand Island. For more information, call the golf shop at 385-5340.
